Ezran Nan-San

I’m Krisztina Gombas, Ezran’s owner. We live in Budapest, and I’ve been keeping dogs since I was 6. Simply I adore them!
 
First I started to like Tibetian mastiff in photos, but then I saw such dog acting in the American movie “ MAX 3000” and suddenly we made the decision with my boyfriend to buy one. Sorry to say, the Hungarian breeder, of whom I wanted to buy a puppy, finished operation that time.

My decision got stronger when one night a thief came to our house through the half opened window on the groundfloor, and if my Alascan malamut dog, Sisco hadn’t start burring under the staircase while we were sleeping upstairs, anything could have happaned. Of course the thief had run away… So I decided to have a well trained watchdog.

There it was described as a terrible good breed for watchdog.
Luckily Eva Marton met a Slovekian breeder Martina Hudovica in an exhibition and she helped us very conscientuosly to have a Tibetian mastiff in our family. She offered the Nan-san breeding in Blucina.
 
I was waiting the day of our journey impatiently, as we went to Karlovy Vary by car, where we were invited to a wedding party. Then we continued to  Brno, where I could finally choose my puppy. I must tell, that on the way  the exhaust of the car started to smoke terribly near Tatabánya, so that I was afraid that we couldn’t go nowhere. We found out, that a part of the waterpipe exploded, and the smoke was only the stream of it. Thanks God, my boyfriend could mend it, and we could continue.
And did I have any luck? My mobile didn’t work in Czech and in Slovakia! Finally we bought a new mobile phone there, so we could keep contact with Martina, who came over to Blucinába to the Nan-San breeding. At the end we got to that small town near Brno without further problems.
 
Entering the house I was really surprised when I saw there was a living room built for the dogs. Don’t get me wrong, but their Grandma and Grandpa were watching the puppies from the sofa ! Everywhere there were mattresses and everything was clean. The whole family lived together with the dogs, and later it seemed out from our dog’s socialization also, that he was taken good care. They invited us to a separate room, where I could play with the puppies, and choose the proper one for me. I liked his first reaction when I turned on my mobile and he answered with barking to the barking of my previous mastiff (Zeus) that was recorded in my phone.
He took me off my legs for good, when he brought me a piece of crescent and put it in front of my legs. Later he put his head in my hand, and fell asleep. Of course, my boyfriend liked him the most too. 
We were waiting almost a month to bring him home. My boyfriend had an accident just the day before we started, so we had to borrow my brother’s car. At last we went to Martina in Slovákia to see our puppy’s father, Dzong Pen personally. We were invited for a very nice lunch there with the family and when we went out to wash our hands, on the way back we noticed the father of Ezran watching our chicken on the plate, supposing it was for him. We could hardly stop him in time to eat our lunch! The owners made the contract and they gave us a 3 pages long „users instruction” before I could ask for it with a plate and a packet of dogfood. He slept all the way back in the truck.
Arriving home Ezran moved to our room, in front of our bed. He was playing all day on the court. As he grew bigger, he spent more and more time outside at night, first he slept on the balcony, but now he keeps guard in the garden all night.
I’ve got an Alascan malamut, called Sisco, who was 9 when Ezran arrived. First I was worried of the old dog, fearing that she would hurt Ezran seeing him as a rival, but they accepted each other by now and even they accepted a persian cat, Ahu as member of the family.                 
Ezran is very inventive in case of food and his amusement (eg. he wants to steel something to chew..) and he could show himself terribly innocent, staring at  us with his big innocent eyes…
He can be occasionally deaf when we walk and I’d like to call him back. But he attends dog’s school already, because we need it, and Im sure, that I’ve got an extremely clever, obedient bodyguard who never lets me be bored!
